Install BlogrCart WHITE2 Blogger Store E-Commerce Template

Full tutorial how to install & customize BlogrCart WHITE2 Blogger e-commerce store template using pre-installed Config widgets which comes with the theme. This tutorial also comes with videos to help guide  users for further understanding.

Update: If however you could not find Store Configuration & Theme Configuration helper widget pre-installed with theme at your dashboard, it is most likely hidden away due to Blogger layout styles conflict. To display these widget:-

• Go to Template HTML
• Scroll to bottom & you will reach below:-

<b:section class='plug-ins sr-only hidden' id='plug-ins' name='Settings &amp; Config (Activate Plug-ins Widget Below)' showaddelement='no'>

• Remove class by name "hidden" and Save Template.
• Now at dashboard layout the widget helpers will display for you to custom set your settings.

Important Blogger Theme Update - April 14 2016!
To allow the Theme Plug-ins gadget to register itself with your new theme setup, users are required to activate the HTML/Javascript gadget with the title Plugin or DoNotRemove Cart Plugins or Plug-ins Cart located at the bottom of theme Layout. Click Edit the said gadget & add some content to save it. View screenshot below for reference.

UNZIP/EXTRACT & upload using Blogger dashboard > Template > Backup/Restore > at Upload a template from a file on your hard drive. > click the Choose File button. Once success, preview your new template.

Turn off Blogger Mobile Template

To allow this theme to display correctly in mobile screens, turn off Blogger default mobile theme by going to Settings, Mobile section, click the Gear button & select No. Show desktop template on mobile devices. , Then click Save.

Turn Off Blogger Image Pop Up

Turn off Blogger image pop over for best performance by going to Settings > Basic > Turn Off/Don't Show image zoom.

Add a Meta Description

In Settings > Search Preferences > Meta Tags > write a short description describing you blogger store in not more than 160 word counts.

General clean-up

Locked widgets/gadgets may occur when installing new Blogger templates. It is best to replace/remove the "locked" widgets for trouble free installations. Known widgets/gadgets are:-

1. Navbar
2. Attribution

To remove a "locked" widget/gadget, before installing any new template/theme, at template/theme codes, find the above widget/gadget by using the Jump to Widget button.

Select the the entire codes that is used for the widgets. An example mark-up codes is as follows:-

Delete all the codes starting from <b:widget> and ending with the first trailing occurrence of </b:widget> . Click Save Template once done.

2.0 Install Pre-made Pages [PRO Theme]

For BlogrCart WHITE2, the template files comes with license, template/theme file & theme Pages. PRO users can build quickly sample Product Pages including the Send Order page (if any), Success page & Error handling Pages. In addition this tutorial is also included for references & future usages.

Upload the file title BlogrCart-*-PAGES-MASTER-V-1-0.xml at Settings, Other & Import Blog link, find the file in your computer & upload accordingly making sure the Automatically publish all imported posts and pages is ticked/selected.

3.0 Install Pages

3.1 Install Success Page

[PRO users can skip this section]

This page is used to re-direct users once successful sending in their orders via send order e-mail or after successful transactions at Paypal.

Go to Pages > Add a Page and at the Title field type in Success & click Save.
Edit the page body as this page will be the return page from success orders using the send order form functionality checkout. Click Publish Page & view this page full URL at your browser bar by clicking the View link.

An example URL will look like so:-

http://YOUR-BLOG-NAME.blogspot.com/p/success.html

Save this URL using your favorite text editor in your PC.

3.2 Install Error Page

[PRO users can skip this section]

This page is used to re-direct users once successful sending in their orders via send order e-mail or after successful transactions at Paypal.

Go to Pages > click Add a Page & at the Title field type in Error & click Save.  Edit the page body as this page will be the error handling page upon users non delivered orders using the send order form functionality checkout. Click Publish Page & view this page full URL at your browser bar by clicking the View link. An example URL will look like so:-

Save this URL using your favorite text editor in your PC.

4.0 Install Auto Post Template

Find your Auto Post Template updated codes below in this theme/template download folder with file title blogrcart-*-auto-post-template.txt. Use & install as instructed below.

A fully customized auto post template comes pre-included with BlogrCart templates. Important as most of the shopping cart functionalities & also how the product displays depends on this template.

At Blogger Dashboard > Settings > Post & Comments > Post Template > click the Add link to insert the codes below:-

The auto template comes with a price field, a product thumbnail field, a description section to insert relevant contents for your Product Post. Edit the contents before posting your product. Example product images & thumbnail images are included for reference. Please use as your guide.

Note: The select by colour & select by size is included in PRO template file download.  PRO users have the full codes with custom functions used with the advance auto post template.

Click Save Settings. Preview the example Auto Post Template by clicking the Pencil icon to start a Post.

BlogrCart WHITE2 Theme Config Overview

BlogrCart WHITE2  comes with a Configuration widget (Config) which helps users in setting up their Blogger store without touching a single code. By adding parameter with  it's pairing value, activates/or customize the required set-up.

The Location
The location for these Config widgets are at Blogger Dashboard > Layout.

Parameter

A unique template Config name. Uses underscores "_" as name spacing. Required to be inserted at the Link Name field.

Value

The value users required to set based on the available function. Required to insert at Links field.

@Theme Config

Theme available configuration, includes custom layouts, add-on functions etc.

@Store Config

Shopping cart & add on functionalities configuration.

@Email Config

Send order email configuration.

Other supporting Config widgets are (available in PRO themes):-

@Currency Rates 

Activate & add unlimited currency code & rates. Required if Paypal checkout to other currency is activated.

@Shipping Config 

Configuration for shipping by weight options if shipping_method : 

shippingCustom is activated.

@Shipping Options 

Unlimited shipping to weight value options for selection at checkout.

A parameter are in no particular order unless otherwise stated, If duplication when adding parameter & value, the latest saved parameter & value pair is accounted for.

5.3 Shipping @Store Config

Example setup a shippingQuantityRate. Say you require 6% of the total amount in cart to add in as shipping charges. So the Values to Set would be 6/100 = 0.06.

Key in  Link Name field 0.06  > click Add Link.

5.4 Shipping Average Weight @Shipping Config & @Shipping Options [PRO]

5.5 Tax  @Store Config

The required parameters & values to activate your store tax as follows:-

tax_rate	integer	A value to set as tax rate for shopping cart. This value can be calculated including or excluding shipping charges. If tax rate not provided or 0, the tax container will not display at checkout.

5.6 Paypal @Store Config

The required parameters & values to activate your store Paypal checkout as follows:-

paypal_email	email address	The email address registered to receive payments at Paypal.
paypal_success_url	url	The url to your store success page after users have been successfully finished transfer at Paypal. (Refer Section 3.1)
paypal_error_url	url	The url to your store error page if users transaction at Paypal is unsuccessful. (Refer Section 3.2)
Optional
paypal_sandbox	true	Test environment for Paypal transactions is activated. Default false.
paypal_currency_convert	true	Activates the currency conversion options when checkout to Paypal. [PRO]
paypal_currency_to_convert	currency code	3 letter Paypal supported currency code. The currency options to convert must be available at Currency Options setup. [PRO]

5.7 Send Order Email @Email Config

The required parameters & values to activate your store send order checkout & form as follows:-

5.8 Maintenance @Store Config

For maintenance usages, store owners can override activated shopping cart functions to prevent users to access or for store maintenance purposes as follows:-

5.9 WishList @Store Config [PRO]

Activating & customizing available store WishList functions as follows:-

5.12 Instagram @Instagram Widget

The Intsagram widget is just like any widget available with Blogger. Drag & drop move the widgets to the required location & the widget will display according to your configuration settings.

Below are the available configurations for the BlogrCart Instagram widget:-

insta_display	number/integer	The total amount of images to display for the widget. Max amount 60. Default images displayed 12.
insta_get	tagged (default) popular location	The "get" method to call the Instagram images. Default is "tagged". If location used -  at insta_hashtag use "locationId" to call the location images.
insta_image	thumbnail low-resolution high-resolution	The available image size provided by Instagram API. Default is thumbnail (150px x 150px) If low_resolution image size 306px x 306px. If high_resolution image size 612px x 612px
insta_sortby	most-recent (default) least-recent most-liked least-liked most-commented least-commented random	The sorting of the Instagram images displayed. Default "most-recent"
insta_client_id	number/integer	The client ID provided by Instagram via Instagram API for public usages. Default using BlogrCart theme client id at Instagram.

5.13 Featured Slider @ Featured Widget

The Featired Slider widget is also like any widget available with Blogger. Drag & drop and move the widget to the required location at your Blogger layout. The widget will display according to your configuration settings as follows:-

featured_display	number/integer	The total amount of product post to display. If value is " 0 " also de-activates the widget functions.
featured_title	true	If set to "true" the product post titles will display.
featured_image	true	If set to "true" the product post images will display.

featured_image_size	number/integer	If feature_image is set to "true" - the image size to display in pixels(px). Default 220.
featured_button	true	If set to "true" the featured product post link button will display.
featured_button_text	text	If set to "true" the featured product post link button will display.
featured_price	true	If set to "true" the featured product price will display.
featured_currency	text/currency symbol	If featured_price is set to "true" set the currency symbol
featured_currency_after	true	If featured_price is set to "true" set the currency symbol to display after the price. Default false.

5.14 Infinite Scroll  @Theme Config [PRO]

The infinite scroll allows to display all products posts at one single gallery page while scrolling or pressing the designated button. Each product display depends on the amount set at your Blog post display settings.

For each product display when infinite scroll is activated, registers page views analytic & the layout display according to your Theme Config custom settings ie column, wishlist etc.
